- Sentinel Event Alert: New Alert Focuses on Suicide Ideation Perspectives April 2016, Vol 36, #4, Pg 12 – Did you know the rate of suicide is increasing in our country to the point that it now outstrips traffic accidents as a cause of death? Given that context, TJC’s recent Sentinel Event Alert (SEA) #56 (Detecting and treating suicide ideation in all settings) is timely. It is also a treasure trove of recommended evidence-based resources for screening, assessing and treating persons at high risk for suicide.
