- Dangerous Denizens: Preparing staff, law enforcement, and your hospital to manage forensic patients[®] EOC News October 2015, Vol 18 , #10, Pg 2 This article reminds us that hospitals are increasingly called upon to provide care and treatment services to forensic/prisoner patients. In the process of providing such services, hospitals, their staff, security and others may be at increased risk of harm particularly during attempts by forensic/prisoner patients to escape. This article is largely based upon The 2011 Prisoner Escape Study. This study identifies locations where hospital escapes are most likely to occur and provides a series of recommendations for preventing such attempts. Learn more
