Heads up! There have been some changes in the Life Safety Survey Agenda. This article provides a 2-Day sample agenda.  It also makes us aware that from now on, the Life Safety Code Surveyor will need the support of hospital staff to begin document review “immediately upon arrival”.  To assist staff in preparing for this, TJC has developed an [Pearl] LS/EC Document List and Review Tool.  The tool is a convenient listing of the specific documents required by 7 standards (LS.01.01.01, LS.01.02.01, EC.02.03.01, EC.02.03.03, EC.02.03.05, EC.02.05.07 and EC.02.05.09) for the various aspects of the LS Surveyors activities. It is available for download from the TJC Connect site and as a TJC Library Topic (9/23/15) entitled Life Safety Code Information & Resources.  That resource also contains downloadable documents for:

Tip: Download the Document List and Review Tool and use it to create a separate EC/LS Document book for survey. Create tabs for each of the 7 standards listed in the tool.
