  • Standards Revisions for Psychiatric Hospitals with Deemed Status Perspectives, January 2015, Vol 35, #1, Pg 8 [Recommended for: GB, JCSC, PI, LDR]  In this article, TJC identifies 10 standards that will go into effect on 2/1/15 for psychiatric hospitals.  In our review, we list those standards and identify the CMS B-Tag requirements upon which they are based. We strongly recommend you familiarize yourself with these to optimize your compliance efforts. The article also includes a couple of useful definitions from the  interpretive guidelines. In addition, there is the new Patient Safety Chapter and modifications to Sentinel Event policy.
