If your Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) has been activated and there is a need for volunteer providers, EM.02.02.13 guides the requirements for granting privileges by the Medical Staff to LIP volunteers (e.g., MD, DD, PA, NP).  However, EM.02.02.15 governs assigning responsibilities for volunteering non-LIPs who require a license (e.g, RN, LPN, SW, lab tech, dietitian).  The point of this article is that this should be a different (usually HR) process.
Tip: MD and HR should ensure that there are two separate and distinct processes for complying with EM.02.02.13 and EM.02.02.15.
