This requirement has been the most frequently cited BHC standard for the last five years in a row, including 38% of organizations surveyed in the first half of this year. One key suggestion involves getting the perspective of the individual to be served (their desired goals/outcomes; how they think these could best be achieved and how they would know when it has occurred). Providers should also make sure that significant assessment findings are addressed, whether directly or by referral/deferment and that plans are reviewed and revised as needed. |
