Although the setting for this tracer is a nursing home, its focus is upon standard  PC.02.03.01 that is relevant and applicable to psychiatric hospitals.  As such, the 10 sample survey questions are also applicable and useful for mock tracer exercises and practical assessment of patient education requirements.  Note that the scenario also involves a patient with a primary language other than English.
Tip: Pay particular attention to the issue of documenting a patient’s understanding of the education they have been provided (EP#25) as the scenario suggests this is often overlooked by staff.
