This article focuses on the Influenza Immunization Measurement, IMM-2. Although not (yet) a requirement for psychiatric hospitals, the article provides some brief but useful background information on accountability measures (see SPHCC refs).  It also provides a listing of patient groups that are at high risk for developing flu-related complications (see page 17).  This list includes adults 65 and over, those with neurological conditions, weakened immune systems and metabolic disorders (e.g., Diabetes).
Tip: IC should familiarize themselves with the listing of high-risk patient groups and track TJC’s consideration of adding IMM-2 for psychiatric hospitals.
